Football Viewing Parties
We are headed back to Miller’s Orlando Ale House in Winter Park for yet another great season of viewing parties.
Spring 2011 Chapter Charity Event
We are looking for someone to chair a 2011 chapter charity event (such as Habitat for Humanity). We would like to have this event in March or April of 2011 and possibly invite other alumni chapters in the area to participate. If you have a charity idea or if you are available to help organize this event (it really should not take much work), please contact Katie Bartoo.
Scholarship Committee Activities
After receiving four scholarship applications, our members voted to award this year’s Chapter scholarship to senior, John Burna.
John attends the University Park campus, is majoring in Business Management and has an overall GPA of 3.4. John spends much of his time involved with the Nittany Lion Battalion Army ROTC and running club (where he has competed in several marathons). He has been in the color guard for many PSU football and basketball games as well as other remembrance ceremonies. John was also a Resident Assistant in Packer Hall. John plans to begin his career in the United States Army upon graduation in 2011.

It's Time to Renew!
As we round the corner into the dog days of summer, our sweaty Central Florida brains begin to float toward reveries of cool fall Saturdays in State College. Can Penn State football come soon enough? It'll be here before you know it, so get ready for the season by supporting your local chapter and its many benefit offerings. You'll be pleased to know that in spite of poor global economic conditions, our dues remain at a very reasonable $15 and $18 for individual and family memberships, respectively.
