The Chapter's cocktail party honoring Penn State Coach Galen Hall was held on Friday, March 14, 2008, at the home of ex-Nittany Lion Mike McBath. The event was well attended by Chapter members of all ages and a good time was had by all. Chapter's 2007-2008 Scholarship Winner
Sophomore James Molnar Awarded $1,000
Our 2007-2008 scholarship winner is James Molnar. He has received a $1,000 scholarship from the Chapter. James, pictured at left, is currently a Sophomore at University Park.
The Central Florida Chapter awards one scholarship each year to a returning Penn State student from the Central Florida Chapter’s geographical area. The student can be attending any campus and should have completed his or her freshman year. The amount of the scholarship is currently $1,000 annually, provided the Chapter has the necessary funds.
In order to participate, the students were asked that they tell us about themselves in an essay of no more than 2000 words.
